\ I love social media, I really do. I relish any opportunity to interact with people I may never meet in person, strangers with similar interests. Sadly, I am usually boring, sharing articles, posting about social issues, art, occasionally music and, increasingly, ornithology. I have relatively few followers and do not actively seek more by being self-consciously “witty”. I follow only those I know or find interesting. If I consider someone to be a septic pustule (Donald Trump, for example) why would I follow them when I would walk away if they joined my mates in a pub? I’ve made…

New Year’s Eve: CNN’s Anderson Cooper spent the night drinking shots, champagne and vodka-sodas On Monday, CNN’s anchors and correspondents engaged in what has become an annual tradition for the network on New Year’s Eve: drinking on air. Qualcomm won another legal battle against Apple, this time in Germany. According to a German court iPhone 7 and 8 models with Intel modems infringe on one Qualcomm patent. The court issued a sales ban on said models until Apple is able to reverse the decision. However third-party retailers can still sell the violating iPhones. According to a statement from Apple the iPhone XS, XS Max and XR don’t infringe on Qualcomm’s patent and will remain on shelves. Meanwhile Qualcomm has been having success in banning iPhone X, 8 and older models in China over a different patent issue. The…

The industry has seen several attempts at the genre, but some of them are remembered as a joke, others had their fans, but simply fizzled out. Nokia’s first entry was modest – the Nokia 6110 introduced Snake to the world. But it was with the Nokia N-Gage that the Finns seriously tried to challenge Nintendo. Let’s see how well they did. In the red corner, the N-Gage has what came to be known as the “taco” form factor. The D-pad on the side was a nice touch, but…

Notably, the second build of iOS 12.1.2 is available for download for those users who didn’t install the update previously. This means users who already updated their iPhone models to iOS 12.1.2 following its arrival earlier this week won’t receive the second build. The original software update brought bug fixes for eSIM activation on the iPhone XR ₹ 70,849, iPhone XS ₹ 94,281, and iPhone XS Max. The changelog is apparently the same in case of the second build. However, as spotted by folks at AppleInsider, the…
India’s next Test vs Australia begins in Melbourne on December 26. © File Photo/AFP Virat Kohli’s on-field antics in Australia – especially during the Perth Test – have left the cricketing world divided. While some cricketers have criticised his behaviour, some have backed the Indian captain. Aggression has been a part &…
