Zimbabweans were left without internet for nearly 30 hours this week and the authorities have kept a block on social networking sites in an apparent bid to curb support for anti-government strikes. BHUBANESWAR: The Fifteenth Finance Commission on Wednesday praised Odishafor making significant progress and hailed Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s non-waiver agriculture scheme. “The Kalia (Krushak Assistance for Livelihood and Income Augmentation) scheme, we believe, is a much better scheme that helps the small and marginal farmers, who carry the burden of the debt more steeply, than a loan waiver, which is more advantageous to better-off agriculturists,” Chairman NK Singh said. The delightful musical adventure game Wandersong launched to cult acclaim in September and last week received several nods from the Independent Games Festival Awards. (It was also one of my personal favorites of 2018.) Yet Valve has marked it as under review, leaving players unable to access regular Steam features for it, like trading cards and achievements. It’s the victim of a…

\ I love social media, I really do. I relish any opportunity to interact with people I may never meet in person, strangers with similar interests. Sadly, I am usually boring, sharing articles, posting about social issues, art, occasionally music and, increasingly, ornithology. I have relatively few followers and do not actively seek more by being self-consciously “witty”. I follow only those I know or find interesting. If I consider someone to be a septic pustule (Donald Trump, for example) why would I follow them when I would walk away if they joined my mates in a pub? I’ve made…
