The Delhi Assembly on Thursday passed a resolution to put on hold the recruitment of teachers till a criterion is readied to give weightage to guest teachers, in accordance with a Supreme Court ruling. The resolution was moved by Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) member Rajesh Gupta. With over 27 lakh seats lying vacant in various engineering colleges across the country, the AICTE on Friday said it has decided to close down those technical colleges which recorded less than 30% admissions in the last five years. News of Hutchins’ detention came as a shock to the cyber-security community.
