Trump: You’d be in jail  Sunday, 9 Oct 2016 | 9:18 PM ET | 05:37

Donald Trump led the majority of social media mentions at the halfway point of second presidential debate on Sunday night, according toTwitter.

Trump was involved in 64 percent of all debate-related tweets, Twitter said.

Twitteradded that Saturday was the second most tweeted day of the election due to the disclosure of a video of Trump’s sexist comments about women. More than 8 million tweets were sent about Trump. The most tweeted political event at the time of publication was the first presidential debate on Sept 26.

Facebook said the top moment on its platform during the first half of Sunday night’s debate was Trump’s retort to Clinton when she said it’s good someone like him isn’t in charge of the law. “Because you’d be in jail,” he interjected.

Social media marketing platform Spredfast found that although the volume of tweets around the second debate topped the first at times, overall the first presidential debate was still more talked by the half.
