Windows 10: What users want If you’re still running Windows 7 or Windows 8.1, you probably have a good idea of what’s “wrong” with Windows 10—some of which may be the reason you haven’t upgraded yet. Will the jobs report shock?Thursday, 7 Jul 2016 | 5:00 PM ET|04:34 The best of times may be over for now for job seekers, even though June’s critical employment report should show a substantial spring back in hiring, and the labor market remains fairly strong. Friday’s employment report is expected to show a rebound to 175,000 nonfarm payrolls, from May’s stunningly weak 38,000, according to Thomson Reuters. The June report is expected to include a reversal of the negative impact of the Verizon strike, which bit into May’s number and should add about 35,000 workers to the June report. The…
Oil markets have closed out a wild day. The EIA put out its (delayed) weekly inventory levels, and to make a long story short, there was a draw-down in oil inventories, but it was much less than most expected. Gasoline inventories barely budged. The oil market reaction? West Texas Intermediate (WTI) oil went from roughly $48 to $45, a drop of 6 percent, in two hours. It’s now at its lowest level in nearly two months. Now I understand there may have been some disappointment with the inventory levels, but there is nothing fundamental that would drive oil from $48…
