Amazon has kick started its second festive sale of the season, with discounts and deals on more than 10 crore products across various categories. Users of the e-commerce platform can get great deals on electronics, consumer durables, fashion, home & kitchen, among many others via the Amazon website and app. Apart from the flat discounts, the Amazon sale will allow consumers to get more bang for the buck via exchange offers, cashbacks on Citi Credit and Debit cards (minimum spending Rs. 3,000, maximum cashback Rs. 2,000) as well as Amazon Pay balance (maximum Rs. 450), and no-cost EMI options. As part of the ongoing sale, Amazon is offering up to 40 percent discount on smartphones and up to 80 percent off on accessories such as cases and powerbanks. 160 smartphones and over 100 electronics will be available as Amazon Exclusives in the sale. The company has partnered with Jio and Vodafone to offer up to 90GB and up to 75GB complementary data on select smartphones.
iPhone 8 64GB is available at a discounted price of Rs. 61,985 against the MRP of Rs. 64,000 in the Amazon sale, while the iPhone 8 Plus with same storage can be purchased for Rs. 69,985 (MRP Rs. 73,000). If you are looking to save some money, you can opt for the iPhone 7 — Rs. 39,999 for the 32GB variant and Rs. 50,999 for the 128GB model. The iPhone 6s with 32GB storage is available for Rs. 37,490 in the sale, and iPhone 6 32GB at Rs. 20,999.
Amazon sale offers on mobiles running Android OS include Google Pixel 32GB at Rs. 41,155, Pixel XL 128GB at Rs. 44,990, and OnePlus 3T at Rs. 24,999. As for Amazon sale offers on TVs, you can get the BPL Stellar 32-inch HD Ready Smart LED TV for Rs. 14,990, a Rs. 10,000 discount over its MRP of Rs. 24,990. Large-screen TVs (those with screen size of 39-inch or above) will be available for less than Rs. 20,000, and 32-inch TVs will start at less than Rs. 10,000. TVs across different brands have discounts of up to 40 percent in the sale. In laptop offers, Amazon is providing discounts of up to Rs. 20,000, along with exchange discounts. Models with Core i5 processor, as well as those with Core i3 chip and 1TB HDD, will be cheaper in the sale too, while gaming laptops will have exchange discounts of up to Rs. 20,000.
Storage devices will see prices go down by up to 50 percent, with Seagate 1TB external hard drive down to Rs. 3,899 from Rs. 7,999. Similarly, the SanDisk Ultra 32GB microSD memory card can be purchased for Rs. 639 instead of its MRP of Rs. 1,290 in the Amazon sale. Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 Android tablet can be purchased for Rs. 9,999 against its MRP of Rs. 16,000 in the sale, while the Rs. 2,999 Lenovo 13,000mAh Powerbank will go for Rs. 999.
On Amazon Gift Cards, the Rs. 2,000 gift card can be purchased for Rs. 1,800. The Amazon sale offers will include exclusive deals for Prime customers as well, such as the Rs. 499 cashback in Amazon Pay balance on the Fire TV Stick, after the Rs. 500 discount against its MRP of Rs. 3,999. This means the effective price of the Fire TV Stick will go down to Rs. 2,999. Similarly, Prime members will get Fitbit Charge 2 at Rs. 10,499 (a discount of 30 percent) and Sennheiser HD 598 SR at Rs. 8,999 (59 percent cheaper). They can also buy the BPL 55-inch Full HD LED TV and get BPL 32-inch HD Ready LED TV free.
Wearables will see discounts of up to 40 percent, healthcare devices up to 50 percent, office supplies up 40 percent, and video games up to 60 percent. Products with Amazon Basics branding will be up to 60 percent cheaper in the sale, and tablets up to 45 percent cheaper. Amazon will be offering deals under Rs. 499 on several products, app-only Golden Hour deals between 8pm and 12am, and will host a half-price store as well as a Minimum Rs. 15,000 store during the sale.
Flipkart has also announced that it will start its next big sale, named Festive Dhamaka Days, on Thursday, October 5 and offer deals on mobile phones, laptops, TVs, cameras, and accessories. Like the ongoing Amazon sale, the Flipkart sale will continue till October 8 and see flat discounts, exchange offers, cashbacks, buyback guarantees, and no-cost EMIs. There will also be Dhamaka Deals that provide big discounts on popular products; these deals will be run twice a day — once at 1pm and then at 10pm.
