After years of underperforming stocks, commodities are beating theS&P 500 this year, at least as measured by the Dow Jones Commodity Index. But some traders still advise staying far away from the commodity space. The recent move higher is “definitely a head fake,” Boris Schlossberg of BK Asset Management said Monday on CNBC’s “Power Lunch.” The biggest problem, he said, is that little has changed. When Apple introduced a smaller iPad Pro on Monday, vice president Phil Schiller didn’t mince words when he discussed which customers Apple is targeting with the product, along with its 12-inch sibling. “When [users of old PCs] see the features and performance and capabilities of a product like the iPad Pro, designed for the modern digital lifestyle, many of them will find it is the ultimate PC replacement,” Schiller said during a press conference on Apple’s campus. It’s unlikely that Microsoft executives are quaking in their boots, however. Apple’s position is clear: Windows is the past, and there are plenty…

This has mandated some major forecast recalculations, which has naturally attributed for a raise in share value – 2.4% on Wednesday in an 18-week high. It appears that the similarities with the Galaxy…

Announced in a blog post Tuesday, Instagram photos and videos will soon be arranged based on the likelihood of interest a user has in the content, their relationship to the person posting and the timeliness of the post. According to the platform, users don’t see 70 percent of what’s posted in their feeds on average. Therefore by altering the order, the change hopes to keep users up-to-date with the latest and most…
A new UCLA psychology study provides insights into how the brain combines sound and vision. The research suggests that there is not one sole mechanism in the brain that governs how much our senses work together to process information. Among the implications of the study: It might not be as easy as many people had assumed to categorize the way in which we perceive and learn. “We should be cautious not to make blanket statements about how we process information, like ‘I’m a visual learner,'” said Ladan Shams, an associate professor of psychology in the UCLA College and senior author…
