According to a new report from market research firm Counterpoint Research, Samsung’s share of India’s premium smartphone market – which currently stands at 58% – may come down drastically to 35% in the fourth quarter of 2016. Samsung has started pushing out a new update to its Galaxy S5 mini smartphone. The update – which is currently rolling out in Russia, and is hitting the device’s Duos variant – brings along Android Marshmallow (version 6.0.1). Weighing in at over 800MB, the update bumps the software version to MMB29M.G800HXXU1CPI5. Mortgage application volume eked out a 0.6 percent gain on a seasonally adjusted basis last week from the previous week, according to the Mortgage Bankers Association. U.S. single-family starts surged in September, pointing to sustained housing market strength even as a drop in the construction of multi-family dwellings pushed overall home building activity to a 1-1/2-year low.
