A wide chrome strip can be seen running towards both ends on the modified front bumper. The alloys also get a new design pattern. The rear section features a redesigned tail lamp cluster with a chrome strip. The revised styling will be complemented with added equipment in the cabin of the car which includes LDA – Lane Departure Alert, PCS – Pre-Collision System and AHB – Automatic High Beam.

The current engine line-up is expected to be carried over in the latest iteration of the Corolla. The petrol version is powered by a 1.8-litre four-cylinder petrol mill with VVT-i that produces 138bhp of power and 173Nm of torque. The oil-burner packs a four-cylinder 1.4-litre diesel engine that belts out 88.4bhp of power and 205Nm of torque. These engine options come mated to a six-speed manual gearbox.

This Toyota Corolla facelift might be soon launched globally and might be launched in India in 2017. It will compete with the Skoda Octavia, Volkswagen Jetta, Chevrolet Cruze and the Hyundai Elantra in the D-segment of cars in the Indian market.
