While it’s already confirmed that the upcoming Galaxy Note from Samsung – dubbed Galaxy Note7 – will be unveiled at an event scheduled for August 2, Samsung is yet to officially announce the device’s release date.
While the wait is on, a new report out of the company’s home country of South Korea is claiming that the phone will go on sale the same day it’s unveiled, which is August 2.
It says that the move is aimed at taking maximum advantage of this year’s Olympics, scheduled to begin on August 5. If you recall, there was a gap of around a week between theGalaxy Note5’s announcement and launch.
Finally, the report also notes that Samsung has already secured supplies of the Note7 for the August 2 launch.
