An odd thing happened this morning. My Windows 10 PC notified me I had another system update ready and waiting for a reboot—the second update in less than a week! Turns out, this latest update fixes a big mistake that may (or may not) have rolled out earlier this month. Several Windows 10 users recently reported difficulty connecting to the Internet, with the presumed culprit being the December 9 update KB3201845. That may not be the case, however. The hottest technology in TV tech right now is the high-dynamic range displays, but so far HDR hasn’t made its way into computer monitors—save for a few expensive studio-grade displays. That’s set to change in January when LG says it will introduce the company’s first 4K HDR computer monitor at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. A modest, but affordable model, the Panasonic P88 checks a few of the right boxes including a list price of INR 9,290 (a few dollars short of $140).
